The historic church of Saint Michael the Archangel in Katowice

About Installation:
In one of the most valuable monuments of Katowice – the wooden church of St. Saint Michael the Archangel – we implemented the design of a modern sound system, carefully tailored to the unique acoustic conditions and the historical character of this facility.
- Loudspeakers were used in the temple space Audac, ensuring even sound coverage and sound clarity throughout the interior.
- Outdoors, there are discreet, weather-resistant speakers SONANCE, guaranteeing optimal audibility during outdoor events.
- The heart of the system are the devices Ecler, which are responsible for precise amplification and sound control.
- The whole is complemented by a set of microphones Shure, valued for its reliability, excellent speech intelligibility and comfort of use.
Thanks to careful tuning of the system, it was possible to obtain a natural and coherent sound, fully harmonizing with the acoustics of the wooden interior. The new installation remains visually completely neutral, without disturbing the unique aesthetics of the 17th-century church – one of the oldest religious buildings in Katowice.
The project is an example of how modern technological solutions can harmoniously coexist with the heritage of wooden architecture, emphasizing its beauty and authenticity.
